No More Goofy Baseball
It’s not like he’s an All-Star any more. Now that the trade of Milledge for Church and Schneider has drown a minor deal behind the acquisition of Johan Santana, I think we need to think back and remember how productive the deal was for New York headline writers. Lastings Milledge has a genuine name, but nothing can parallel the headlines the papers can write with Church. In the end, the Mets need to decide whether they want to compete or rebuild.
